Halloween Costumes!

                                Halloween Costumes

I'm back! First off, I would like to apologize for not being active on the blog. Lately I have been overwhelmed with homework same goes with Gianna. Which is not an excuse, I will be on more often!

Halloween costumes from a store in my opinion, aren't original! Everyone has seen it, it seems as if you put no effort in them, and usually they're 20 dollars more! I've been searching around lately, and the Halloween costumes I have been seeing are beyond inappropriate for a girl my age. Do you really think an Eskimo is going to wear a mini-skirt? Does a policewoman wear a garter? Secondly, I don't know about you. But I live in great ole Wisconsin, and I don't anticipate getting frostbite. So, for you lovely ladies. I am going to show you some age appropriate, weather appropriate Halloween Costumes to get your creative juices flowing!

1. Malala
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl, was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman. Malala was targeted because she advocated openly for the right of girls to go to school. This costumes perfect because she is an amazing young woman, and you can keep warm with several layers!

2. Pop Art
All you have to do is add some benday dots, define in black make-up and wear all black!

3. Tourist
Wear a loud, patterned Hawaiian shirt, you can even wear a bright long sleeve underneath. wear jeans or any type of warm pants, wear a visor, strap a fake or real camera around your neck and carry a map everywhere you go! If you are trick-or-treating bring  a reusable bag with you, go to a thrift store and see if they have any tropical bags there. Don't forget your leis!
What do you think? Should I post my Halloween costume?

Easy Panini!

Are you home alone often? I know I am! And when I am, I want a nice, delicious meal that will satisfy my taste buds!
For this meal you'll need:
Small Griller
Bread
Cheese
Butter
Oven Mitt
Other meats and condiments of your choice

(I'm adding orange peppers)
Step 1: Plug in your griller. This will let it warm up. The light will be yellow and you have to wait a few minutes until it's a darker color. While waiting, begin to spread butter on your two pieces of bread.
Step 2: Once the griller is ready, you can begin creating your panini. Start by placing the first slice of bread, butter-facing-down. Add all of your ingredients. Now put the next slice of bread on top of the ingredients, butter-facing-up. Close the griller and keep your eye on the clock until two minutes have passed.
Step 3: After two minutes pass, you can open the griller. If your panini is golden brown with grill marks, it's ready! Carefully use a spatula to slide the panini onto your plate. Eat it with a drink and some salad! It's delicious!

Comment below and tell us how your panini turned out! We hope you enjoyed!

Splattered Nail Tutorial

Ready for an adorable nail tutorial? For this nail design, you'll need:
Plastic Straw
Q-Tips
Hand Lotion
Nail Polish Remover
Clear Nail Polish
2 Nail Polish Colors of your Choice
Tape
Step 1: With nail polish remover, take off the current polish you have on your nails. With a Q-tip, gently apply a dab of hand lotion around each of your cuticles. This prevents any extra polish from sticking to your skin. After this, place strips of tape around your finger to protect against a mess.
Step 2: Begin applying 2 layers of white nail polish. This will be the base color for your design. Over a thick paper towel, pour your two colors (I chose pink and silver) into small puddles. Beginning with your first color, dip your straw in it and through the other end, blow so the paint splatters on your nails. Do this to each nail and wait a few minutes for them to dry.
Step 3: Do the same to your nails with your second color choice. When you're finished, let them dry for a few minutes. After your nails are dry, you can peel off the tape. Trust me, it will feel relieving!
Step 4: With a Q-tip, remove any excess nail polish from your skin. Now apply 2 coats of clear nail polish. You can also add some more hand lotion around your cuticles. VOILA! Your splattered nails are finished and fabulous!

Advice: BO Buisness

Advice: BO Business

My friend has really strong body odor issues, people talk about it, and it's hard to defend her because its true, she's oblivious to the situation! How do I help? We're starting a new classroom and I would like her to start off fresh. Literally!

~Tough Nostrils

First of all I would like to say you're a great friend trying defend and help her, while sparing her feeling. Why don't you invite her over for a sleep-over or for a girls day and talk; Deodorant, Scented Lotion, Body Wash. Talk about the brands! What Body Spray do you keep in you're locker for after gym class! Invite her to use some of yours, talk about showering habits.  How often do you take a shower, give her a reason why you shower so frequently! If that doesn't work, tell her that you heard someone talking about another person (who you forgot the name of) I emphasize FORGOT the name of, remember we're sparing her feelings. Tell her that people are talking about that person and you feel bad because that person is oblivious! And anyone could be in the same position and you feel bad! And also encourage her to keep body spray and deodorant with her, if you have to, ask her if you smell! It will open her up about healthy habits!

Advice: Lonely

I feel unwanted, unloved, and hopeless. I'm alone I don't have anyone in my life that loves me. It's like I'm getting punished for getting older because when I was little life was was so magical. I thought it would be great to get older. I tried everything to make me feel better, and I talked to everybody. Looks like the internet is my last place to find some help before it's too late or before I'm gone. I'm 16 by the way.

~LONELY

I would be telling the truth if I said every girl eventually goes through a stage like this. Where you feel lonely and unwanted. You shouldn't say that nobody loves you. I can promise you that there is someone, no matter what you think, who truly loves you. It may be someone you've never expected! It's an obvious fact that everything is so much more magical and easy as a child. You are so innocent and oblivious to the world and as you grow older, you discover more about the life you're living. Some things good, some bad. But I promise that one day, you will find something GREAT about your life! But until that day comes, you need to work up to it and try to become a happier person, try to find the good little things.

Back To School! Locker Decoration

                               Locker Decoration

In the locker aisle you'll find everything from shag carpets to wall paper and mini motion activated chandeliers. Having a great looking locker is awesome! But let's be honest, is having a shag carpet necessary? It absorbs the already nauseating smell of a locker 50+ other students have used. So for my locker I have made a checklist to help me stay on point with locker décor.

At The Store

1. Is this item helpful?
2. Does it take up more space than necessary?
3. Does the item help with organization?

When you have finished decorating your locker

1. Is your locker spacious?
2. Can you fit all of your necessities in the locker?

#1 Additional Items I Will Be Buying For My Locker

1. Command Strips
2. A Mirror
3. Dry Erase Board
4. Locker Shelf
5. Small Locker Bin
4. Dish Dryer for a Folder/Binder Organizer

Small Bin

Buying a small plastic bin from the dollar store is a great way to stay organized inside the bin put emergency items you could possibly forget! Mechanical Pencils, rubber bands, bobby pins, sunglasses, a flash drive, contact solution,  an extra USB cord for your TI calculator (If Your School Allows You To Have One)

Do you have any ideas, questions or blog requests? Your opinion matters!
