Halloween Costumes
I'm back! First off, I would like to apologize for not being active on the blog. Lately I have been overwhelmed with homework same goes with Gianna. Which is not an excuse, I will be on more often!
Halloween costumes from a store in my opinion, aren't original! Everyone has seen it, it seems as if you put no effort in them, and usually they're 20 dollars more! I've been searching around lately, and the Halloween costumes I have been seeing are beyond inappropriate for a girl my age. Do you really think an Eskimo is going to wear a mini-skirt? Does a policewoman wear a garter? Secondly, I don't know about you. But I live in great ole Wisconsin, and I don't anticipate getting frostbite. So, for you lovely ladies. I am going to show you some age appropriate, weather appropriate Halloween Costumes to get your creative juices flowing!
1. Malala
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl, was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman. Malala was targeted because she advocated openly for the right of girls to go to school. This costumes perfect because she is an amazing young woman, and you can keep warm with several layers!
2. Pop Art
All you have to do is add some benday dots, define in black make-up and wear all black!
3. Tourist
Wear a loud, patterned Hawaiian shirt, you can even wear a bright long sleeve underneath. wear jeans or any type of warm pants, wear a visor, strap a fake or real camera around your neck and carry a map everywhere you go! If you are trick-or-treating bring a reusable bag with you, go to a thrift store and see if they have any tropical bags there. Don't forget your leis!
What do you think? Should I post my Halloween costume?
